• Skye Ontiveros

    Co-Chair/Program Director

    Skye moved to Albuquerque in 2016 to pursue an Environmental Planning Masters after graduating from U.C. Berkeley with a Bachelor of Science studying ecology. She has since been involved in environmental planning and community organizing for healthy environments and food access. She loves improving soil health, pollinator habitats, increasing tree canopy coverage, and growing edible and medicinal plants. She now works as Co-Chair of the International District Healthy Community Coalition, where she co-founded the I.D. Food Hub, and is currently Program Director. During her time in Abq. she has facilitated garden youth programs, environmental mapping workshops, soil remediaiton projects, habitat restoration projects, community plantings, and site build outs. When she is not working, she can be caught running, climbing, or reading.

  • Bernadette Hardy

    Co-President/Co-Chair

    From Albuquerque New Mexico, Bernadette is also a member of the Diné Nation and Jemez Pueblo, and a proud mother of a teenage son. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of New Mexico, and being an Urban Native, she understands the common barriers needed to break down, to achieve educational and economic success. She has experienced firsthand the disenfranchisement and inequities of our community of color striving to achieve a thriving, safe healthy life in our urban city. Bernie has several years of experience as a mentor, and mentor trainer, as she was a supervisor of several mentoring programs. Bernie has more than fifteen years experience in grassroots organizing in the greater Albuquerque area as co-coordinator of the International District Healthy Communities Coalition. With the support of many community partners and family members, Bernadette continues to advocate for the International District.

  • Monique Hardy

    Food Quality Manager

    Monique Hardy has a BA in Chicana Studies with a concentration in social politics and Community based services. She comes from Hispanic roots (sixteen generations), and a family dedicated to community-based organizing and mutual aid organizations . This has inspired her commitment to make her community, the International District, a better place. She has lived in the International District for fifteen years, and has dedicated her career to supporting nonprofit work, like : Sunflowers for Change, Southwest Organizing Project, the International District Healthy Here Coalition, Together for Brothers (assisting young men of color), and working with children at the Native American Community Academy. Particularly dear to her heart, is her work with the developmentally disabled. Monique is committed to grassroots organizing in the International District, working for those most in need.

  • Rommy Joyce

    Social Media Manager/Graphic Designer

    Rommy is a passionate civil and environmental engineer with a focus on sustainability and a deep commitment to making a positive impact on the planet. Embracing a vegan lifestyle, she believes in living mindfully and fostering self-sufficiency in every aspect of life. Beyond her engineering background, she channels her energy into community support as the social media manager for I.D. Food Hub. Advocating for sustainable food practices and mutual help, she is dedicated to making a difference in people's lives and the environment.

  • Gigi Osoria

    Treasurer/Certified Community Health Worker

    Guillermina Osoria is an Afro-Woman born in Rio Piedra, Puerto Rico. Her mother and father were born in the Dominican Republic, first-generation to migrated to the United States. Gigi is Bilingual, Multiheritage, Interdisciplinary, Cultural Specialist, Performer, Lifestyle Diabetes Coach, Zumba Instructor, Silver Sneaker Instructor, Certified Community Health Worker S3, Certified Peer Support Worker, Certified Supportive Housing Peer Specialist, Certified License Insurance Broker in 13 states currently, SOAR Representative for New Mexico, Tax Preparer, and Notary Public for New Mexico.

    For over 30 years GUILLERMINA has been a noteworthy leader in the Healthcare space. You may know her from her work as a Pathway Navigator for IDHCC. GUILLERMINA can also be credited with contributing to WHITTIER ELEMENTARY FOOD HUB and she has proudly assisted over 387 families with the Emergency Rental Assistance Program. She also has assisted over 53 individuals get approved for Social Security Benefit in New Mexico. Her goals are nurturing communities through meaningful support, self-advocacy skills, processes by which we can control our own life and sustainability. Her passions are to nourish the body, mind and souls, address inequities, social and economic marginalization and justice. When she’s not organizing, taking care of a client meetings, or in CE classes, she enjoys traveling, dancing, biking, growing food, cooking, or being with her family and friends. Gigi is a mother of two and a grandma of two. Gigi currently lives in the International District with her Fiancé Raimundo.

  • Nancy Arnaudville

    Outreach Coordinator

    Nancy moved to New Mexico in 1994, grew up in a low-income family, and at times lived at truck stops and hotels. Nancy got involved with IDHCC as a volunteer in 2014 when she met Reyna Luz Juarez at La Mesa Elementary, where her kids attended. Because of her background, her passions include helping those in need acquire resources, working with families and children, and supporting social change. She was one of the first from her family to graduate high school, from Sandia High; setting the stage for her son to graduate from Media Arts Charter School in the district. She completed an associate degree in liberal arts and Bachelors in Psychology with a minor in Communication. She volunteered almost 500 hours with Agora Crisis Center navigating high pressure moments, has experience in retail, worked with adults with disabilities, and worked with children and teenagers as an educational assistant. The experience and skills she has gained from previous experiences include: customer service, time management, coordinating transportation, team building, inventory, data entry, and empathetic listening. She takes these skills into her present and future work with Ciqlovia, Tree NM, and IDHCC. As Outreach Coordinator for the ID food, she coordinates donation drop offs/pickups, supports inventory recording, data entry, outreaching to the community, and ensures the Food Hub is prepared for the next distribution.

  • Aliana Hardy

    Chef Apprentice

    Aliana Hardy is an 8th grader at the Native American Community Academy and has lived in the International District for the last fourteen years. She is an amazing writer and was one of the winners of the Leopold Alto writing contest. She is an inspiring young chef and currently works at the Witter Food Hub as a Chef Apprentice, utilizing the fresh produce from our local farmers. With locally and organically grown produce, she creates and serves healthy and nutritious meals for our families. She enjoys working with the ID community and with IDHCC because she loves interacting with individual members and serving food she created herself. It is her dream to open her own restaurant in the ID so she can give back to the community.

  • Greg Hardy

    General Crafsman

    Greg has lived in the I.D. for almost a decade and has since been involved in building and constructing edible landscapes, gardens, growing beds, community shade structures, and community seating for the international district. He’s dedicated to creating comfortable safe spaces in the I.D., through wood work and collaboration with Tree NM, planting tree’s within the I.D.. Greg can confidently say he has helped plant hundreds of trees in the I.D.. One of his favorite projects is with Ciqlovia where he builds community benches and tables later placed throughout the I.D. As a graduate of Valley High, and Job Core, Greg studied plumbing and culinary arts. When mixed with his passion for cooking which was instilled by his Mom and Grandpa, he quickly excelled and started to teach kids the fundamentals of cooking, and later became a cook at Fort Randel Casino in South Dakota. Gregs hobbies include Magic the Gathering card game, where he can be spotted casting spells.

  • Erin Lopez

    Internal Operations Coordinator

    Erin has lived a life of Independence and up until recently has been focusing on raising her two kids. It wasn't until Erin came to the Food Hub, that she got connected with IDHCC and began her work with the community. Erin's perspective was shaped by family abuse, and since then she has been motivated to reduce abuse in the community. Erin has grown to be very empathetic due to her past experiences, and her children who have large caring and understanding hearts. She understands that everyone has their own story and deserves to be treated with kindness and respect. She takes that value to the food hub and the community members that she works with. She strives to cultivate individual quality relationships with the community members that use our services by fostering love, trust, and friendship. She also implements her efficient organizational skills to create spaces around her easy to navigate and kid friendly. Erin's hobbies are collecting dolls, anime, and taking care of her children. She uses these hobbies to further create relationships with the community via common interest and hobbies.
